(More customer reviews)I have this charger and it works well.Contrary to the "Engineer", this charger does turn off at the end of the charging cycle which is outlined in the instructions that come with the charger (an LED goes out to indicate charging is done).After charging, it will maintain a trickle charge on the batteries to keep them fresh.Also, you have to charge AA and AAA batteries in pairs, i.e. 2 or 4 AA batteries or 2 or 4 AAA batteries.Do not expect this item to recharge batteries overnight as it can take up to 24 hours.I think it relates to how discharged the batteries were.
